Getting to Know . . . Mary Weber, Circulation Clerk

Please introduce yourself. What is your role at the library? How long have you been associated with the library?

Hello, my name is Mary Weber. I have been working as a Circulation Clerk for two years at the Smithton Public Library.

What is your favorite thing about the library?

My favorite thing about the library is finding books for patrons in our collection and if needed from another library within our system. The amount of material available is vast and fulfilling a request from a patron accurately is personally satisfying.

What is your favorite book, author or series? Why?

Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. This was one of the first books I can honestly say I had trouble putting down.

What have you been reading/watching/listening to lately?

📚I have been mostly reading about Native American history and Native American Traditional Environmental Knowledge practices.

What is one fun fact about you?

I have backpacked and summitted several Colorado 14ers.

What is your favorite color?

Today it is yellow. If you ask me tomorrow, it may be different.

What is your favorite item that the library circulates?

Children’s books. Since becoming a grandmother, I’m fascinated with books I can share with them.
