Getting to Know . . . Dr. Brett Clasquin, Board President

Please introduce yourself. What is your role at the library? How long have you been associated with the library?

My name is Brett Clasquin. I have been serving on the Board of Directors since 2011 holding positions of Vice President and now currently President as well as on personnel committee.

What is your favorite thing about the library?

I hear many compliments on our friendly and knowledgeable staff as well as a warm and inviting atmosphere from our library. It surprisingly has many services to offer, but my favorite is the book recommendations from the staff. Always spot on.

What is your favorite book, author or series? Why?

My favorite book is 20000 Leagues under the sea by Jules Verne. I’ve always loved science fiction. I’m a huge Star Trek, Star Wars, and Stargate SG-1 fan. Jack Reacher series is great too.

What have you been reading/watching/listening to lately?

📺Been enjoying The Witcher and looking forward to the next season of Reacher. Alan Ritchson is great in season one.

What is one fun fact about you?

I am very inquisitive and love to learn how things work, especially the human body.

What is your favorite color?

Blue

What is your favorite item that the library circulates?

Fishing poles for the kids to use at the park lake.
