Getting to Know . . . Cinda Leech, Circulation Clerk

Please introduce yourself. What is your role at the library? How long have you been associated with the library?

Hi, my name is Cinda Leech.  Working with Smithton PLD for these past three years have been some of the happiest in my life.

What is your favorite thing about the library?

Libraries are apothecary chests full of wisdom and opinion, their magic sealed upon the pages in ink.

What is your favorite book, author or series? Why?

My favorite series starts with Soulless by Gail Carriger, who, by happenstance, is my favorite author. Her detailed description of a steampunk world of supernaturals thrills me every time.

What have you been reading/watching/listening to lately?

📚Between Richard Paul Evans’ Michael Vey stories, the Witcher from Andrzej Sapkowski, and Valerie Gilpeer & Emily Grodin’s “I Have Been Buried Under Years of Dust”, I also allow space for lighter, fun fare like Judy Greer’s “I Don’t Know What You Know Me From”.

📽I’ve restarted watching the Scream movie series from the beginning to be ready for Scream VI.

What is one fun fact about you?

I have traveled to or through at least 40 of the 50 states, including Hawaii.

What is your favorite color?

Green

What is your favorite item that the library circulates?

I am proud of our Graphic Novel sections (there are two) and the jigsaw puzzles.
