Getting to Know . . . Cindy Merz, Overdues and Periodicals Clerk

Please introduce yourself. What is your role at the library? How long have you been associated with the library?

Hi my name is Cindy Merz and I am the Periodicals/Overdues Clerk. I have worked at the library for five years now. I live in town and have been a patron of the library since I moved here 25 years ago.

What is your favorite thing about the library?

I love helping a patron find a book to read or a new author to check out.

What is your favorite book, author or series? Why?

Kristin Hannah is my absolute favorite author. I love her characters and her settings. She really writes about sisterhood beautifully and romantic relationships that overcome great challenges.

What have you been reading/watching/listening to lately?

📽watching: just finished Ted Lasso (fresh and funny!)

What is one fun fact about you?

I have 3 brothers AND 3 sisters.

What is your favorite color?

Green, it’s the best!

What is your favorite item that the library circulates?

I love the kits in the children’s room. It reminds me of bringing my children here when they were small; they loved those puppets and books!
